What should i realistic expect from this cooler

i have a q9550 and im pretty sure im going to get a noctua d-14, what temperatures do you guys think i might get and what sort of overclock would i be looking at? right now my cores are on 39.37.37.33 if that helps.

i don't believe in overclocking.just install what you would have SET.

Anyways I reckon you could reach 3.8Ghz with decent air cooling, maybe a little more. But those temps there are pretty dang good. What load temps are you getting?

Using prime95 im getting 70,63,64,63 i put some artic silver 5 on a few days ago and there was a large difference.

My friend has a Q9550 and a Zalman 9500 cooler, and his is running at 4.0 ghz. His max temps are around 64*c.
