OK, I saw another post like this so I thought I might ask too. I've been saving money for a while, not doing too many upgrades or anything. I have a good $2000+ put back for a computer now. What do you guys think I should build? I'm up for anything, just wanting options and such...

I don't play games that much, but I want a decent video card.
I do video editing, but much of my work will probably be done on another computer. Still, I'll probably get some sort of tuner. Any that convert to DV?
I want an AMD machine
I don't need a monitor
I don't need a DVD-burner(got an external one I'll use)

Um...I guess that's all... What do you guys suggest??

Did you check out what i put for the other guy? You could do that and get a leeser gfx card if you wanted..

2000 could make you a pretty good system so is it just a compute rthat just sits around from other uses?

I do a good bit of video and photo editing. I also work in Poser(3D) but a video card won't make too much of a difference here...

Huh i'm bored anyway... feel to relaxed, listening to music (Schools out for 2 weeks :p:p)
i'll quickly make you one and what currency?

EDIT: need speakers?

Ok i went majorly over the top with this but you can always downgrade anything there, this will handle a lot...

Ok maybe a little over the top but yea... switch any parts

I suggest a raptor or 2. Also, i'd wait for Venice/San diego...it is well worth it.

Charchris: I'm likeing that list! Now, I'd probably just stick with the sound card that the MB has. Also, what's the difference between the FATAL1TY and some of the other AN8's? Aren't there like 3 versions of it?

Speaks, I should of mentioned, I have a 10" sub I'd like to keep using. So just new 2 channel speaks would be fine.

Raptors, YES!

That motherboard's got a pretty cool setup with those fans in the back. As for the memory, it's nice but I would get two of them and put them in dual channel mode. I would get a 6800GT video card while you're spending that much money for your PC.
