want to upgrade comp

can someone tell me wat i should upgrade to make my computer.... well good or near good? i have a amd athlon xp 1700+, shuttle ak32 motherboard,256mb pc2100 ram (dont know wat brand), geforce 4 mx420,aopen cd writer, and 40 gig seagate hard drive.
now dont go crazy with prizes cos i dont have that much.

i dont really have that much cos i live in new zealand where the prices r really high when buyign good products and i already have a monitor oh and i dont want to buy a whole new computer, i just want to upgrade this comp so it performs well or better than it should besides from overclocking.
