ive been trying to set up wake-on-lan (wol) on my computer.
Now i already have software that will send out the magic packet, and i've checked with a sniffer that the package arrives ok. I have also enabled wol in the bios settings. When i try to actually wake my pc up remotely, however, it doesn't work.
I then went into the network card settings, and there seem to be three options about wol:
WakeUp on ARP/PING
WakeUp on LinkChange
WakeUp using APM Mode
Could someone please clarify what these mean? When i enable WakeUp on ARP/PING (which i assumed was the problem why wol didn't work), my pc will wake up as soon as it has finished going to sleep. Do i perhaps need to use a combination of these options to get wol to work?
