I am thinking of upgrading my laptop to windows vista when it comes out, so I decided to go ahead and find myself a copy of it now to see how it will run.

I installed a copy of Home Premium, and it runs, but slower than I would like it to. Now I planned to upgrade my memory from 512 to 1 gig or more, but now I'm concerned with my graphics, which windows gave a "Base Score" of 1.0

I use my computer mostly for internet, email, im, media player, some web design and photo editing. Often times I do alot of these things all at once though also. So my question is will just a memory upgrade be enough? or am I stuck with crappy performance due to my processor or graphics?

this is my current specs:

1.30 gigahertz Intel Celeron M
512 MB ram
40 GB hdd

Intel(R) 82852/82855 GM/GME Graphics Controller (Microsoft Corporation - XDDM) [Display adapter] (2x)

Conexant AC-Link Audio

so do you think it will run well enough for what I need? or should I just forget it unless I get a new comp.

my current specs are
1.2ghz t-bird(i swear it runs like a 2ghz:p)
512mb ram
radeon 9250 256mb
40gb hd+ 200gb hd
how do u think vista will run on mine(desktop)
