video to vcd

i have a home movie clip my sister made for me. its an .avi file but it it just a few MB too large for a cd. how can i gte it on a vcd? i have no video editing software and not good with editing ayway...any suggestions?

You could put it on a dvd, then it will work on your dvd player if you do it properly, hope this helps.

i tried using my brothers laptop that has ULead video studio to cut down the file a little and put it on a dvd, but it will not read the file type. its just a video file that plays fine through media player. I would prefer to put it on dvd, but its just working. i even tried using my brothers video converter but once again, it is having trouble working.

its an .avi

Cut out a couple of seconds or so until it is small enough to fit on a CD.
