Hey guys its my first time building a PC and im still doing my research and learning since im a complete noob. The mother board im am currently planning to buy is the Intel DP67BG desktop extreme board, i have a compatible intel i7-2600k CPU to go with it. My question is will any video/ sound card work on this motherboard or will only certain brands ect.. work and what cards would be good for this motherboard i have i high bugget so im looking for the best.

Anything that's a PCI Express video card will work, as will most discreet sound cards. Some of those sound cards aren't much better quality (Audio-wise) compared to the onboard, so pick carefully. Discreet sound cards are useful, even if you get a lower priced one, because of the isolation that an expansion card provides over the onboard audio. You'll typically get less electrical noise with an add-in sound card than you would with the onboard.
