Video Conversion Problems:(

Ok, Here's the problem, I used DVD Decrypter to Rip One of my DVD's to my hdd(no i'm not pirating dvd's..) I wanted to Back up some of my dvd's because they have a bad habit of getting scratched and such. anyways, i used this program and it turned the dvd into raw data, my question is: is there a way to turn this raw data into a playable video file on my computer until the time comes that i have enough cash to buy a dvd burner? like, can i turn it into an avi file? The dvd also takes up about 6 gigs on it's own so i'm just wanting a way to make it smaller but be able to play it too....PLEASE HELP!

why did you bother converting it into raw data? btw what program did you use?

you can use AOA DVD Ripper....it can convert you dvd into any video format without saving onto HDD

Does it not convert into AVI then? Because that is the best bet. You can then just Copy it into the DVD when you want to. Or wait until you have a DVD Writer, and use DVD X Copy.
