i recently bought a video card. Its made by Rosewill and it is a GeForce mx 4000. I installed it in its slot (pci) and in the manual it says t he computer (once you reboot it) will reconize that there is something new and will automaticly scan for it, but it never dose. The so called easy installation disc dose not help at all. Any suggestions on what to do?

thank you

Are you sure this isn't AGP.It shouldn't fit a PCI slot.Nobody buys PCI video now. Please read the card description again and where to plug it in.
Just for the record though you must explain why your monitor works or is this a diff PC ? Quote :

Bluto - there is a PCI verison of this card. There are still some good valid reasons for using PCI video cards cards even on AGP motherboards.

As for your problem with your video card. There is some critical information that is needed before helping you correctly.

What OS are you using?
How old is your motherbaord?
Does it have an AGP port?
Are there any other video cards installed in the computer?

Get that information and we can better help you.

PCI is making a come back with PCI Express same as 16x agp. Make sure it is firmly in. Does it display any picture.
