Video Card help

Hey guys,

I'm looking for a new video card, The one I have sucks. The games I play are Quake 3, Half Life, and Team Fortress.

Heres my card specs

Chip Type: Trident Blade 3D/MVP4
DAC Type: Intergrated RAMDAC
Memory Size: 8MB
Adapter Swing: Trident Video Accelerator
Bios Information: 6 Y 6.00(2502.1

I dont have alot of money and I can get a NVIDIA TNT2 for 8 bucks. Would it make the grahpics better and how much better?

Wow, any video card would be better than what you have now. That thing is ancient. Video quality is important when running games. Is $8 all you can afford? I suggest spending a little more and get like 64MB minimum. I think that TNT2 will cover it, but that card is like obsolete and I don't remember the specs on that.

I just spent 150 on a ps2, I would if I had more money but I have only 8 bucks left lol. will the games lag?

The TNT would be better then what you have now. If you can afford it maybe look into 1 of these.

I know for a fact that they can play Q3 and HL/CS fine, not highest settings but it works and rarely any lag, except of course in smoke grenades in CS

Also, if you have an AGP slot then try looking on eBay.

Both those would be a really good upgrade from what you have right now, as long as you have AGP.
