video 2 dvd hardware

hi i was just wondering what hardware i would need to convert a video tape (from a video player) into a dvd so that it can play in any normal dvd player? also software too plz

Well, you could just plug the video player into the DVD player, via a scart cable, press play on the video player, and record on the DVD player.. that'll work..

kool never thought of it that way but i dont have a dvd recorder.

a tv card, with a svideo input and a scart to svideo lead. then you can record videos to your hard drive and burn to a dvd. tv cards can be pretty cheap now. you will also need a dvd burner drive. i would suggest pinnacle studio for editing and burning. though i'm sure there are some good free ones out there.
