Do you think its possible to buy a external USB 2.0 and connect it to a USB 1.1 while having 2.0 speeds?
And how do i find out my USB version?

lol 1.1Usb is slow, I dont think that it can run, at 2.0 speeds it will run at 1.1 Usb speeds. and you can find out in your usb speeds in your BIOS websites. Programes etc...

It cant... I have a 2.0 external and ran it on my 1.1 USB laptop for a while and thought it was fine, kinda slow but didn't know the difference. Well now on my new computer I have 2.0 and it's just insanely fast as opposed to 1.1

If you have SP1, you should be running at USB 2.0. If you use any device that is using the older USB 1.1, it will simply step down to the 1.1 speed. There is a difference, big time and you'll notice a difference.
