Two Questions

I think so.
I have seen with my motherboard anyway which is a ASUS A8N-SLI Deluxe that using 4 DDR400 512MB modules will run at 333 because of stability issues.

So is there a noticable differance between the Socket 939 Athlon 64 3500+ and the Socket 939 Athlon 64 3200+?

Dude, socket 754 3200 runs at 2.2, s939 runs .2mhz less. Newcastle and Winchester core for the 3500 are both 2.2ghz and both s939.

Well I live in canada and there is a $100 difference between them.

Is it worth the extra $100 CAD? I hear the 3200+ OC very well, but I have never really overclocked anything before. I know overclocking the Athlon XP's was kinda dangerous.

Is overclocking the AMD 64's risk free if you can reset the CMOS?

Thanks again

Well there is ALWAYS a risk when OC'ing, you have to really pay attention and take things slow or else there goes your cpu. I suggest you read some guides on it first. And yeah you would be saving a lot of money because again, the only difference is that .2mhz so if you can learn to OC, then you can get the 3200 and OC that.

I've done some unsuccessful overclocking before with my Athlon XP and never did it again. Had to reset the jumpers to clear CMOS and start over again. What a pain. I'm just going to get the 3500+ then.
