Touchpad Inactive

Can't figure out the problem. I have an Acer Spin 5 laptop. The touchpad has been completely inactive for 4 or 5 days. I went into the touchpad setting in Device Manager and made sure they were active. I rebooted the machine a few times. Nothing. Still the same completely inactive touchpad and no cursor in sight. Hooking up a mouse works fine. Without the mouse, I am restricted to use it as a tablet. I tried to get new drivers but that didn't seem to work either... Any suggestions?

Check the properties of the touchpad. On many laptops, it is possible to disable the touchpad. Maybe it got disabled by accident.

Either that or a dead touchpad. Like a mouse they don't last forever.
