TCP Stack configuration(confused)

Hey everyone, im new to this forum, on my computer it messed up and i reformatted and i went to install my ethernet card..its installed but now the program i use for dsl internet says there is no devices with a TCP stack configured..i was wondering how i would go about fixing this..i use win98 by the way..any help is greatly appreciated

Welcome to the forum!
It has been awhile for using 98 but I think that what you need to do is first set up an internet connection by using the wizard in control panel. This will automatically instal the TCP/IP adapter. Once that is done then reinsert your installation DSL cd and reinstall it and you should be good to go.
