Switching wireless cards

Does anyone know how to take a wireless card out of a hp dv9000 and put it in a hp dv6000?

I wouldn't risk doing it yourself. Have a computer repair person do it.

It's pretty simple if you have a screw driver and some time. There are panels on each laptop which conceal the RAM, hard drive, (sometimes) the fan assembly, and the wireless card. If you can easily get to the card on each system, you can perform a swap, and as long as they use the same interface (mini PCI or Mini PCIe, etc). It's just a matter of unscrewing the panel, pulling the leads off the wireless card (there will be TWO and make note of which color went where) and then unplugging the card and plugging it into the other system. Reconnect the antenna leads, and turn the system on after you put the panel(s) back on.
