switching drivers?

my mobo came with the realtek drivers, i want to know if i can use another driver, like another brand all together, or would it not be compatible with the hardware?

we are talking about audio drivers right?
I wouldn't try any different ones, whats wrong with the realtek one? Though if there is a reason you don't like them, you could always try installing some other ones, though I don't think they will work it's not going to hurt to try if you want to. But I don't see a point since at least in my opinion the realtek ones are very nice.
