Last night ive been infected with spywear
prog was called spyware sherrif or some thing
was susccessfully removed
but now pop ups open up randomly from IE and each time i run ad-aware SE pro in 5 mins i get 1 critical object any one know how to get rid of these pop ups and prevent spyware?

Maybe get a dedicated pop up blocker. Try downloading the Google Toolbar. It's got an ad blocker on it. I'm using it on my laptop and desktop and loving it. Couple that with Norton Firewall and you get ad blocking and intrusion detecting too. Microsoft Antispyware is an excellent antispyware program to use and it's free to download.

What I find to be helpful is Zone Labs Zone Alarm Anti Spyware. You can get a free trial from www.zonelabs.com and it includes a firewall. Once the trial is up you can just download the free firewall.
