Just so everyone knows, the new version of SpeedFan has incorporated core temperature readings for Semprons, Athlon 64's, and Opterons. It's a much more accurate measurement and updates very quick; I'm using it right now and it is great! Just thought I'd point that out to everyone, if y'all don't know already.

I really like Speedfan. Its great the way you can check hard drive status for instance.

The only problem is, my ABIT motherboard doesn't allow me to change fan speeds and such since the Uguru chip does that, and so stops me from making any changes, but its a good temp monitor.

I like the way it has arrows pointing up and down to show if the components are heating up and what not.

Right. This new temperature monitor is much, much more accurate than the other one and has a much higher refresh rate. I can't get it to control my fan speeds either... I don't know why. I don't really need it, though, and haven't tried all that hard to see what I can do.

i just downloaded speedfan and when i tried to run it... my computer shut off!?!... i am now using something called sensors view pro.

Jamxx, it's something to do with the 939 AMD socket if you have that. mine won't allow it to change fan speeds either, but I like it for other reasons.
