Sound Issues

I'm having sound issues where my onboard sound is sending the wrong channels to the speakers. I've fixed it before but can't be bothered spending time fixing anymore.

So here is the question. Does anyone recommend a soundcard that is relatively affordable. I need something that can take 5.1 speakers + my headset.

Extra Question:
Is it possible to use onboard and a soundcard at the sametime?
EG. Use a 5.1 card or something and use the microphone ports off the onboard ?

Extra Infomation:
Could I get things in New Zealand Dollars? ( Makes it easier)
My motherboard is a ASUS M2N-E with drivers off the CD.

Ive got one by HDA digital, its got 7.1 and wasnt very expensive. Does what i need it to do. Heres a review. http://www.nvnews.net/reviews/hda_xplosion/index.shtml

Ive never tried to use onboard and a soundcard at the same time. You will probably get conflicts.

Wow. thats really nice.
Too bad I can't find a store in new zealand that sells it.

Audigy Value 7.1 (I would need onboard mic to use this...)
Then theres the Audigy 2 which looks like the samething.

Anyone ever used any of these?
