Sound doesn't work

Hi guys

I have a computer which I have windows XP installed on. I've reinstalled XP a while ago and of course all the programs I had before is now removed. Before, I remember I had to install some audio driver, and I remember it was a SoundMax audio driver. But when I try to install it now it doesnt install and gives an error (I'm not sure it is the same driver as before). I looked inside my computer, and I do not have a sound card, but there is a little connector (made by foxconn) connecting the headphone, microphone sockets to the motherboard.

My motherboard was manufactured by ASUS.
My specs are as follows:
Micosoft Windows XP Professional
Service Pack 3
Intel
Pentium 4 CPU 2.80GHz
2.80GHz, 2.00GB RAM

What sound driver do I have to get to get sound working?

Open up dxdiag, go to the sound tab and copy and paste what's there, should tell us the device and drivers name

It says it can't find a sound card
I know I don't have a sound card, but just a little connector from the sockets to the motherboard... I think before I installed both ASUS driver and SoundMax driver to get the sound working... But I don't know what to download on the ASUS website!!
