I have have noticed a big disparity with connection speeds on my laptop. My pc seems to be always much faster. The speeds range from 290kpbs to 3000kpbs on the laptop (from Cnet.com). I am using a Belkin Wireless G Mimo router. Should the speeds vary this greatly? The laptop (Toshiba Satellite about one year old) runs a Pentium M 2.0 while the pc is running a Pentium 4, 2.8 (HT) and both machines are running 1.5 gig of ram. I am upgrading the laptop again soon and to run the maximum 2 gigs. Thanks for any and all replies.
