Should My Laptop Fan be doing this

My fan keeps turning on and off like itll turn on once every 10 min then stay on for about 2 then turn off then repeate. Is this normal?

Most laptop fans are tempertaure sensitive, they only turn on when the temperature gets too high, then they'll turn off until it gets too high again, it's perfectly normal.

At least that's what it says in my laptop manual (the fan at the bottom of the laptop are temperature sensitive, but the one's at the top, near the keyboard, should be on all the time)

Don't know whether this applies to your laptop mind.

awsome that makes sense the one by the keyboard is on the one on the side just comes on every once in a while. and hot air is blowing out. thanks for your help.
