samsung spinpoint f1 and f3 hard drives

can anyone tell me what warrants the £35 price difference between these two hard drives, samsung spinpoint f1 & spinpoint f3?

im thinking it has to be the mechanics of it, but i can think what and the specs all look the same

I've got an F3 hard drive and the drone it makes is crazy. I also heard of a few like this over at SOS.

Personally my next drive will be a Western Digital.

The only difference with the drives you linked seems to be just an older F1 an the newer F3.

I believe I have an F1. I can't remember. Just got myself 2 WD Blacks (1TB each) to do a RAID1. I then put my F1 in my friends build. It runs INCREDIBLY quiet and INCREDIBLY cool. Though, that could be specific to my system. You never know. Honestly, if there's that much difference in price, I'd check around for a 1TB Western Digital Caviar Black or a Seagate 1TB. I've had good luck with all three HDD brands I've listed in this post.
