Rescrewing fans

I just built a new computer. I installed a couple case fans using the screws that came with the fans. These screws are shiny non-painted metal. I realised afterwards that the case, which is all black, comes with a stash of black fan screws. These would look better with these.

The fan screw holes weren't threaded. They work by having the scews dig into the plastic, creating threading as they burrow in. If I take out the silver screws and replace them with black ones, do I run a risk of stripping the holes?

You should be fine as long as you don't over-tighten them.

I would just colour the silver screws black to save the trouble.
