Recommend a good router for me?

yeah, so I think it's time for a new router.. I have a d-link 542, yes, the crappiest router out there... but it suited me fine for about a year, and still does. but it's old and has been through a lot, and I'm sick of my signal dropping every so often... i need a new one. Can you guys recommend me a new one? My budget is around $80... you can go higher, but not toooooo much

Linksys or D-link? share your experiences with both, and recommend me a good, solid router.
