Hey guys, ive read many articles on readyboost and have still conflicting opions, some people say it works indepentadly of ram so not matter how much ram you have readyboost will always be advantagous.

So basically im asking i have a Samsung R580 laptop with 4Gb of ram- i cant really afford to upfrade the ram internally, but would it help if i was to buy a 8Gb class 10 Sd card such as Transcend 8GB SDHC Class 10 Memory Card: Amazon.co.uk: Computers & Accessories
SD card would be good as ity would just sit inside the laptop no bother at all.

What do you guts think?

cheers, still pretty inconclusive isnt it... might just give it ago then anyway. Cant do any harm can it!

By all means give it a try although i think this works best when the system has the minimum amount of memory. 4 GB should be enough anyway.
