RAM question

YOUKAY?
This is really about PS4 and Xbox One but since the same hardware is in PC's I'll make it hypothetical. Hypothetically what ram solution better? 8GB GDDR5 or DDR3 with the help of ES ram?

Only difference between SRAM and a EEprom is when the power is dropped off the SRAM, it forgets. EEprom doesn't forget.
SRAM would be used in a committed system environment like one of those idiotic displays you see in WalMart. When you power it up the EEprom data is loaded on the SRAM and the CPU uses that as the program source. It would be good when used like that or a kiosk.
It's ability to latch the data means it doesn't have to have the memory manager refresh the memory card before it forgets. If the refresh is late or never happens normal ram will forget what's on it and could lead to a system crash. SRAM doesn't have that problem because it is designed not to need it. However the millisecond the power is off that chip it forgets everything.
Using it for ram in a game console or a PC for that matter is a waste. That's not what it's meant for.

But how can SRAM be useless if they're adding to X1? It has to be useful for something I would think...
