I have a 10k raptor 150gb HD. and My Secondary is a 500gb wd 7200 rpm drive.

Thus far, Ive been installing all programs on the 10k and all games on the 7200.

is it possible to put the Raptor and the WD in a type of raid that will make them "one"

IF SO, will it increase the total speed

if your motherboard supports raid then yes. The 500 gig drive will only be seen as a 150gb drive if its in a raid, and the speed of both drives will drop to 7200 rpm.

If your motherboard does not support raid you will have to buy a PCI raid controller

Well it kind of depends JCB. Halo0234, do you want a software raid or a hardware raid? Windows 7 supports software raid.

If you go to the Disk Management in The Computer Management window, you right click on the disk you want to software raid on and select what you want. I am currently using this on one of my servers and I have yet to have a problem with it.
