PSU wattage question

i have a computer, that came with a 300 watt PSU, but it got fried

i want to buy a new one, but the cheapest on out there is 400 watt, but the same model.. can i use the 400 watt?

That should be ok. You just never want to replace a PSU with a lower wattage one.

ok, thanks, thats all i needed to know.. i didn't want to pay 33 bucks for a 300 wattage one, but there's a new one on ebay for 7 bucks.. awesome

I wouldn't buy that one. If you don't buy a reputable brand PSU, odds are that it's gonna blow up again, possibly taking the rest of your parts with it. Also, they usually exaggerate their wattages.
