My father had a toshiba computer for a few years... and had put many files and programs on it. Here recently, it was dropped down a set of stairs(lol) and was trashed. We managed to salvage the hard drive, and placed it in a shell that connects through my computer via usb. We were able to salvage all his important files... but the programs have stumped me. I can find where they were installed, but it wont let me run them. It says "Permission to use object denied" when i click on the application. Most of them we have found the original installation disk for... but there were a few that were put on his computer by friends that are no longer in touch. I was wondering why these programs wont run, and if there is any way to salvage them and put them on his new computer. Thanks for all the help.
