Intel Core i7-920 Bloomfield 2.66GHz LGA 1366 130W Quad-Core Processor Model BX80601920, or Intel Core i7 940 Nehalem 2.93GHz LGA 1366 130W Quad-Core Processor Model BX80601940. i was also considering, Intel Core i7-950 Bloomfield 3.06GHz LGA 1366 130W Quad-Core Processor Model BX80601950

Well, obviously the 940 and 950 are better. But the 920 is no slacker. If you pair it with a decent motherboard, RAM, and heat sink, you can overclock the 920 quite easily (so I've heard). It really isn't worth it to spend the chunk of money the 940 or 950 cost if you can overclock the 920 yourself.

They are all pretty much the same. The 940 and 950 have a higher clock, but a higher price to match. Do what Dude said and get the 920 and then overclock it. The amount of money you save getting a 920 could get you a decent water cooling setup for your CPU.

i7 940 and i7 950 speeds with an i7 920 is achieved with a BCLK of 147Mhz for 2940Mhz and BCLK of 155Mhz for 3100Mhz respectively.

As it happens i'm currently running my i7 920 at 3500Mhz @ stock volts!

It's a no-brainer!
