So I got this older printer, HP DeskJet 842c, and it has decided only to print in magenta... How do I fix that? Brand new color and black cartridges. The HP software wouldn't install, so I'm just running it off the windows drivers and software. Prints fine other than it's in magenta and black only... Running on Windows XP Pro x64. I'm too cheap to get a new printer, and will only keep this one if the problem is solved, and then only till I'm stuck with no ink...
