If my power supply only has 4x 15pin SATA power connectors and my mobo has 6x SATA connectors can I get a splitter or adaptor or anything?

SATA connectors are for hardrives i think you might be mistaken..

i dont know of a "SATA power connecter"

sorry i probably didnt make myself very clear.... my psu can connect to 4 sata drives to power them but my mobo can connect to 6 sata drives to write/read data.... can i get a y adaptor or anything to give these extra 2 sata drives power

You can buy IDE (SATA) power cables with one input from the Mobo and two outputs for IDE devices. So withe four connectors on the mobo you can power 8 IDE devices. Get the round cables, much neater and less air restrictive than ribon cables. They come 18 and 24 inch lengths.

the cables from the mobo are data cables... not power, i meant cables from the psu

Sorry, misread your post. I believe you can get splitters, check NewEggs cable section. Be sure you have enough power to support additional hard drives and yet have about 30 percent left over.

how would i find out if i hav enough power 2 support....

im lookn at a 530w psu being used to power....
