Hi there, I was wondering if someone could help me. I have been having a popping sound coming from the Sound Cardon my parents newly built computer. The sound card is integrated (Realtek HD something) into the motherboard which is the Gigabyte MA790X-UD3P. Now it is defiantly coming from the sound card because I have plugged headphones into the computer and I get the same problem this is how I know this. When my brother plays his classic game "Starwars Battlefront I & II there is no popping from the game, but from everything else AKA youtube, music, videos and other basic sound applications.

It is not an incredibly bothering issue at the moment but I would like to fix it ASAP

Thanks

my first step would be to update the audio drivers and see where that takes you.

Popping noises?

As in you physically hear popping coming from the motherboard inside the computer?

Or when you play noise the speakers have popping noises?
If his game doesn't have it and everything else does listen to Celegorm and update your drivers. Also look for codecs, too.
