Please help me compare these!!!

Hi, I'm new here but I would like some info on processors since I am considering a laptop for college soon and would like to know whats better between these two most common processors found in them:

The AMD Turion 64 X2 TL-52 and the Intel Core 2 Duo T5300.

Or if you could, please do the AMD Turion 64 X2 TL-52 and the Intel Pentium Dual Core T2080.

I know there are other factors like ram, etc... but can someone please summarize the specs and lead up to the fact that states which one is faster/better?

In a nutshell, the T5300 will outperform the TL-52 as the Core 2 Duos have superior architecture and are generally faster at performing most tasks. The T5200 also has a 2MB L2 cache as apposed to the TL-52's 2x 512k L2 cache.

Comparing the TL-52 to the T2080, they both seem to be on par. My preference would be the T2080.

AMD is cheap and best. Though if you compare speed there is no doubt Intel have better speed but if we make a balance between price and speed then I feel AMD is the best choice.
