Planning Mid-range Build

I'm planning to "build" a PC for the first time, although I'm fairly computer savvy. The only fairly demanding app that I am presently using is MS Flight Sim X, but I want to install Vista and want a rig that will not become obsolete for 4-5 years. I also want it to run quietly! I'd appreciate advice/comments (compatability, etc) on using the following main components in combination in the unit:

Antec Solo case
Intel Core 2 Duo E6600 CPU (or possibly the E6400) boxed w/fan
Asus P5B Deluxe Motherboard
BFG 7900 GS OC Video Card
Antec 500 watt NeoHE power supply

that would not be a bad build man

if i were you i would do the e6400 to save you a little money and make sure you get 2x1gb dual channel ram!
