PC switches on and goes off after a while

Howzit guys.

Everytime i switch the pc on, all fans goes on, (no BIOS beep) and switches off after 5 or so seconds.

I stripped all the components, leaving only the motherboard, cpu and PSU intact still does the same. I tried a different powersupply but to no success it switches on and switches off 5 seconds later.

Any thoughts?

Any beeps sound you get when switch on the pc?

nothing... made sure the onboard speaker is plugged in.
stripped the RAM still giving me no beeps.

Do you think its the motherboard?

I think it may be motherborad or cpu.

what i did is, strip the motherboard from the case, to eliminate the power button or case fault still goes on and off after a while. How can i test if the CPU is faulty? I get no BIOS or post screen.

this probably won't help, but you could try and re-seat the CPU.

I stuck the CPU in another pc, booted up, so all in all going to replace the motherboard.
