PC have virus

there is a virus in my comp after i logged in, the taskbar doesnt come up and the computer detects spyware

If i used any program it will start to shutdown and u cant close the shutting down message .it will give you a minute to do what you want then it will shut down

I used Norton antivirus in safe mode,it searched for it and found it but could not destroy it.

Can anyone help me plz

Boot to safemode, check msconfig and see if anything is starting that shouldnt be. You may find that when you boot into safemode, that the problem doesnt happen, if thats the case, then run your AV etc there and clear it

U can also create or download a dos boot disk to get rid of a virus. AVAST i think do this on their site www.avast.com allows u to download a floppy virus checker.

unintsall norton and get NOD32 or AVg free edition. I'd suggest downloading the 30 day trial of NOD32 from www.eset.com because it's low on memory and detects things that pretty much every other scanner misses.
