One messed up scroll wheel!

Hehe, I was just messing on my video comp and it made me think of something. One morning, I was taking my jacket off just before using my computer. As I reached for the mouse... *ZAP* I shocked it with a nice buch of static from my jacket. Now, the scroll wheel only works on every other rotation!

This suprised me seeing as the wheels SEEMS to be rubber, but I guess it isn't. Anyone else had a similar problem?(I'm not trying to solve it, it was a cheaper mouse and I have another to replace it once I feel like disconnecting this one ;P)

No, but scroll wheels have metal under them, and that static may have tranfered to the metal easily, frying some of the pressure boards underneath it. Maybe I will try that on my MX310 later, HEHEHE!

LOL, that's exactly what got messed up ;P MicroInnovations mouse from Walmart. Still a good mouse other than the scroll button. I actually bought another one to replace it(it was on my main computer at the time...)
