Notebook - most bang for the buck $1300

Style and size arn't really an issue. The only reason I want a notebook is so I can use it for productions several times a year. DVD-RW is a priority, at least 512 RAM, between 60-80 GB HD. Something on these lines.

Have you tried PC World? Building really isn't an option so you'd want to look for a manufacturer's offer. Fujitsu Siemens are good, don't think Advent do Laptops. PC Buying if you buy it from a Newsagent will have a good deal of adverts inside with offers.
