Sorry for posting this twice, i posted in the wrong section

Hey, I've recently had problems with secure connections like HTTPS. Whenever I try to connect to an https server I get "Couldn't establish connection with (https address)" in Firefox, and in IE I get "Internet Explorer cannot display the webpage"...

Its been going on for about 3 or 4 months now, and is incredibly annoying. I can't sign into MSN, can't register, can't check email, can't play secure connection muliplayer games......Please help!

Ive searched for so long for the answer, and no luck. I'm pretty sure its the router, which is a Netopia 3347NWG-006.

Thanks!

Kevin

how old is the router??
maybe its need an new one as it happen when my mates old one as it gone slow and the new one faster...
or have you unblock the wireless network on firewalls??

Not that I can remember....It just...stopped working...
It's getting incredibly annoying...I hope I can get this fixed soon. Thanks for the quick-ish responses!

I recently had a similar issue where a router screwed up all HTTPS traffic. Something like this is rare but occasionally happens.

First step is to obviously do a full reset of the router, and reconfigure it. You likely did this, so the second thing I would try is using a different computer behind the router.

Than their's a really advanced step, you can setup a packet sniffer on the WAN side of the router and capture all traffic thats going onto the internet connection. From here you would be able to determine what the HTTPS packets look like. This requires a hub and computer that operate at the exact same speed however. If you don't know what I am talking about I would not look into this step.

Hmmm...I haven't done a full reset yet, because I am worried of what the losses would be. What would I lose? What would I have to reconfigure?

It would reset it to factory settings, so if ya have never made changes to it in the past, then ya still wont need to. If ya have made changes to the settings before, then ya will have to enter them back in.

I did a full reset anyways, and it didnt work...What is going on here? I've tried everything!
