Newcastle Or Clawhammer

Which one is better because im doing AMD Processor shopping and I need to know.. both are smae socket ( Diffrent Speeds but im willing to slow down if you guys say ine is better [ Not gonna sya which one is faster though because i dont want people to judge by the speed of them] Every thing is the same about them except speed so please tell me and also what is L1 and L2 Cache

Clawhammer = 3700 AMD Athlon 64 Bit L1 Cache 64 Kb + 64 Kb L2 cache 1 Mb @ 2.4 Ghz

Newcastle = 3400 AMD athlon 64 Bit L1 Cache 64 Kb + 64 KB L2 Cache 512 Kb @ 2.4 Ghz

If you're going to get the 3700, you might as well pay the extra $30 and get the San Diego.

I have a newcastle and it works amazing... but I've heard the clawhammer is good... but then again... venice...

Wow...4 consecutive posts...unbelievable. Haha, yeah Newcastle is ok. Clawhammer is good if you're not much of a overclocker, because it sucks at OC'ing. Winchester, Venice and San Diego are the ownage.

Newcastle and Clawhammer are old cores. Go for a Venice or a San Diego.
