hello iam now considering getting new ram.

I have 1G of value corsair ram at the moment but this is by far to slow for what i want and as you can see in my sig i dont think it is up to the same standard as the rest of the components.

I have about £200 to spend but i have a mate in america that said he will by and ship to me any ram i want. So i have about 350 U.S. dollars.

I would like about 2G. I dont know wether to get four 512Mbs or two 1Gs

Was looking on newegg.com. tell me what you think of these:

i awnt this ram for just pure gaming and no overclocking. please tell me what you think and anhy suggestions would be brilliant

thank you

i would get the 3rd one down since u dont want to overclock and the other ram is ram that is designed for overclocking, also DO NOT get 4 512mbs as u will work the cpus memory controller to hard and have a bad affect on it so deffinately go with 2 1Gbs

I would go with the Corsair XMS DDR 433. Although I doubt you would notice any real world difference between that and the OCZ platinum. So if you want to save money just go with the ocz platinum.

I personally, dislike Corsair DDR, but love their DDR2, you can never go wrong with OCZ as they have great customer support and very nice RAM. Get the Plats from OCZ, i believe they use Infineon CE or BE die chips. Not 100% on that, but they do OC fairly nicely just to give you a heads up.

I'd say pick something from OCZ, it doesn't have to be super expensive overclocking RAM but dont go cheap either. I say the third one is pretty good. Corsair is good RAM, it hasn't caused me any problems yet, but I have learned to like the OCZ stuff better.
