Hi, guys. It's me, again.

I'm about to receive an NVIDIA GT 8600:
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produ...mc=TEMC-RMA-Approvel-_-Content-_-text-_-#spec
http://www.evga.com/products/moreinfo.asp?pn=256-P2-N751-AR&family=23

Though... I just realized the possibility, upon looking at the 2nd site, that my power supply won't be enough wattage. I think it may only go up to like 250W (please, someone say I'm wrong). I know a new power supply would probably be a better idea regardless, but I'm poor (and cheap).

Can I still run this graphics card with my current power supply?

If not, can someone tell me the reprecussions of trying to run it, anyway?(Because, God knows, I will try :D)

Or... recommend a good, cheap one?

It would be pushing that 250W power supply, but you could always try. The worse that would happen is that you wont get a signal to the monitor.

Here's a decent quality PSU for cheap: ePOWER ZU-400W. It has plenty of power for your setup.

the second site recommends you should have a minimum of a 400W power supply

so you should probably just go buy a cheap one like the one in atomic roosters post

yeah you probably want to get a new PSU. but like they said above, the worst that can happen, your computer simply won't power on or your video card won't run. You can't damage anything in your computer.

Alright. I ordered the one I linked above. I'm going to run the (apperently slight) risk that my mobo. will fry and plug in my graphics card, anyway, just to check it out.

Thanks again for your help, guys. You're always saving my ass. :)
