New Monitor Help

Hi all,

I am looking into getting a new PC and a new monitor as well, but I am a bit confused as to what monitor I should get.

Ideally, I would like a 24" wide-screen monitor with a native resolution of 1920x1200, with VGA, DVI and HDMI inputs (with HDCP).

My main use of it would be to play games using my Console and PC, so a fast response time and (very) low input lag are essential.

There are two monitors that I have my eye on at the moment:

1. Dell UltraSharp 2408WFP (http://accessories.euro.dell.com/sna/productdetail.aspx?c=uk&l=en&s=dhs&cs=ukdhs1&sku=147262)

2. Samsung SM2493HM (http://www.samsung.com/uk/consumer/...=monitors&subtype=lcd&model_cd=LS24KIEEFV/EDC)

The biggest problem with the Dell is the input lag is rather large and am unsure on whether the latest revision has improved that.

Any help that anyone can give me will be much appreciated and any suggestions of other products or which of these is best will be of most help.

Thanks in advance.

I'm using a Samsung monitor at the moment. In my sig, and I have to say it's performed quite well for the last year and half. No problems with pixels at all.

Def the samsung. they're both about the same except for the response time, in which the samsung wins my 1ms

well if you dont like the d@rn dell
then go with the SAMSUNG

imho the samsung looks better to me anyway

Its not that I dislike the Dell, its that I'm unsure whether the input lag has been improved in the latest revision of the monitor.

Also I don't know what the input lag is like on the Samsung one, hence why I'm asking for help on the matter.
