Any information would be helpful..

They look pretty comparable to me. The processors are almost the same. they have same clock speeds. Probably which ever you want would work.
Im an HP fan, So i would choose the HP.

The HP advantages:
-DDR3 RAM

Gateway advantages:
-7200RPM Hard Drive
-nVidia 9800GTS

To me it's pretty obvious if you're gaming: Gateway
