Hey, I am currently in the process of deciding what to put in my new gaming PC and i firstly if anyone could give me any pointers and if a 430W PSU was enough.

Processor: (Sckt775)Intel® Core™ 2 Duo E7300 CPU @ 2.66GHz 1066FSB 3MB L2

Motherboard: MSI P31 Neo-F V2 P31 Chipset LGA775 FSB800/1066/1333 DDR2

RAM: 4GB (2x2GB) PC6400 DDR2/800 Dual Channel Memory

PSU: 420W

Graphics card: NVIDIA GeForce 9800 GT 512MB 16X PCI Express

Disc Drive: SONY DUAL FORMAT 20X DVD±R/±RW + CD-R/RW DRIVE DUAL LAYER

HDD: 250Gb

Firstly, my questions are, Will i need more cooling than a heat sink and fan on the processor and the fans in the PSU?

And will i need a higher wattage PSU for the hardware stated?

Thank you for your feedback.

Might wanna invest in a better psu.
How much you spending for the hdd? If its like $50 you can get a 500gb for $55 on newegg

I know the difference in the HD cost for 500GB is very little but i just wont use 500GB and how high a wattage would i want to look at for the PSU?

You might as well invest in it. Newer software takes up a lot of space. Even more if you're using Vista. Hard drives last a long time(hopefully).

Get a quality PSU,

a 64 BIT OS for 4GB of ram

What kind of case will you be using?
