I think of HP as a throw away computer though, Even their good stat computers have bad brands inside them =\ Theyre built in quantity not quality </imo>
 
Thats fair enough if you are scared of damaging the products while building, but there are a few safety precautions you can follow.

The best way to learn is to watch someone else. If you have any way of doing that, do so. There are also a load of guides on the internet.

Products do have guarantees anyway, and in a way is better than having one guarantee for a whole PC, since you don't have to replace the whole computer to only replace one part.
