I am going to buy a laptop, the one im buying is high enough spec to support vista Home P, but is only running VHB.

It WOULD be cost effective and very desirable to upgrade to VHB, is this possible????

 The MS website only describes Xp to vista not Vista to Vista.

Sincerely,
Tommy

I think he's talking about Home Basic.

At any rate, I don't think it's possible to go from home Basic to home premium (or any version of Vista) with out buying a normal copy of Vista.

i thought there was the upgrade feature within windows vista to upgrade to another version of vista. i remember seeing it when i had home premium

There is a upgrade feature direct in windows vista. You go to control panel click getting started with windows and you'll see a option that says windows anytime upgrade. Click it and it will go through a process basically taking you to a website were you download a new key and installer file.

I looked at it the one day curious about how much the upgrade was to ultimate from home premium.
